Additional investors include Helen Greiner, a pioneer in robotics and founder of iRobot, and Ed Roberts, MIT expert on entrepreneurship, as well as Backstage Capital. The round was over-subscribed to $4.2 million from its initial $3 million target.

Bounce also announced today that it is adding Eric Rosenbach, former Pentagon Chief of Staff and current Co-Director of the Belfer Center at Harvard. Eric is a dedicated public servant and has been a leader in U.S. Department of Defense innovation and cyber-security, serving both Republican and Democratic administrations and Congressional representatives.

Along with this round announcement, Bounce Imaging is also now able to disclose that it is an In-Q-Tel portfolio company. In-Q-Tel is the premier technology investment organization for the federal government and intelligence community.

“Bounce Imaging’s world-class 360° imaging technologies offer our armed forces, as well as law enforcement professionals, an easy-to-use, rugged, and reliable surveillance solution for the most challenging and dangerous environments” said Francisco Aguilar, CEO & Founder of Bounce Imaging. “This investment will allow us to continue to expand our reach within the U.S. military and first responder community, as well as ensure our operations keep pace with growing customer demand.”

Bounce intends to use this capital to advance its exciting work with several elements of the U.S. Department of Defense as well as police, fire-rescue, and other first-responders across the United States and around the world, including Ukraine. It also continues to engage on a previously announced $15 million contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to support port inspection and the U.S. supply chain.

Due to continued investor interest, a second tranche on the round remains open.
